Screening for Plagiarism Policy
Vastu Research Journal: Journal of Management and Applied Science is committed to maintaining academic integrity and ensuring the originality of all submitted manuscripts. Therefore, all submissions are subject to plagiarism screening prior to the peer review process.
The journal uses reliable plagiarism detection software, such as Turnitin or iThenticate, to identify the similarity index of submitted manuscripts.
Similarity Index Policy
- The maximum acceptable similarity index is 20%
- Similarity from a single source must not exceed 5%
- Properly cited quotations, references, and commonly used terms are not considered violations
Actions for Violations
- Manuscripts exceeding the similarity threshold will be returned to authors for revision
- Manuscripts with significant plagiarism will be rejected
- If plagiarism is detected after publication, the article will be retracted
Author Responsibility
Authors are responsible for ensuring that:
- The manuscript is original
- All sources are properly cited
- No form of plagiarism exists, including improper self-plagiarism
